LRCCS Faculty and Associate Professor of Women's Studies Wang Zheng was recently featured in a Broadly (a subsidiary of Vice) documentary titled "Unmarried at 27: Meet China's 'Leftover Women."  You can see the documentary below:

In her work at the Institute for Research on Women and Gender, Wang Zheng is currently helping coordinate a photo exhibit which revolves around some of the same feminists featured in this documentary; it is titled Above Ground - 40 Moments of Transformation. This exhibit displays many images of feminist actions the Feminist Five and their friends had engaged in before their detention.  The exhibit curator, Lü Ping, will be giving a talk on January 26th at 4:10pm at the Lane Hall Gallery.  Click here for more info.

This event is co-sponsored by LRCCS, the Institute for Research on Women and Gender, the Department of Women’s Studies, and the Stamps School of Art & Design.
